Frugal Ways to Improve You Home’s Value

Published by cashmonkies at 2:47 pm under Home Life Edit This

Are you looking to sell your home? Adding some personal items around the house, can improve your value and add more money in your pocket. Improving your homes value shouldn’t mean you have to spend a lot of time and money on your items. You can still be frugal and improve your home. Here are a few tricks on how you can do that.

The front of your home is going to give out the first impression. You want to make sure this is clean and your lawn is maintained. Edge around your driveway , sidewalk and porch. If you have flowers, trim them and pick out all weeds. If you don’t have flowers, you should add a few. Keeping in mind, you don’t want a lot of flowers. While a few flowers can really make your yard look nice, adding to many will make your home look cluttered and give it a cluttered feel. When showing your home, you want as less stuff around as possible, to give your home an open feeling.

Your kitchen is going to be one of the selling points. If you have a small kitchen, then open it up as much as possible. Remove all your blinds in the kitchen and add small valances to them. This makes them look more open. Put all the small appliances away somewhere. Don’t leave these things on your counter. If your cabinets need a little touch, you can replace the knobs and hinges for a very low cost and they really make your cabinets look a lot better. Add a small vase with some small pretty bright flowers will also make your home feel more like a home. Remove any extra piece of furniture that is not needed from this area to created a more open look.

These were just a few things that you can do with your major selling points of your home. I will write some more about the other areas in your home on the next blog.
